Decorative & Functional
This is a wonderful
example of architectural design and film. Using the
new Llumar film "Rice Paper", a mixture of elegant glass and flowing
beauty are added to a unique wall system. |

Decorative
Films have
become
more popular as an alternative to etched glass. Now with film you can
create many unique designs, patterns and images using state of the art
computer rendering. Decorative film even comes in some standard designs
such as block, lineal, frosty white, silver and bronze. |

Blacksburg VA
Here is an interesting
situation where a conference room has windows that look into a
corridor, which in this case is the corridor to another business.
Construction costs for
tearing out the glass wall and building a new
solid wall would have been very high. Not to mention the fact of down
time for the conference room, the traffic in the hallway and security
issues.
This is where the Opaque
series films come in nicely. In this image you
see the NRM White PS3 film applied to half of the conference room
glass. The film is applied on the conference room side to give a non
glare semi matte finiish and to avoid abuse from hallway traffic. The
semi matte finish is very easy to clean and makes for an additional
surface to reflect light from to boost the luminance of the room. It is
also available in other colors.
Here is the finished
room. Notice how clean and appealing this looks.
The whole installation period for this room and one identical to it
took just about four hours. Amazing. The conference room schedule was
briefly interrupted for a few hours and not days.

Here is a
great example where upper story
glass can be a huge problem, particularly if it is a southern exposure.
Radford University
The top image shows the windows before the film is applied. Notice
there is no definition in the clouds as you look through the glass. |

|
The bottom
image shows window film
installed and what a difference it
has made. You can now see the clouds and the visibility within the room
is much better.
This room is used for classroom training. When video presentations are
shown, prior to the film installation, it was very difficult to see the
images. Now the images are very clear and easy to see with the glare
reduced by 87%. |

Sunrooms
have become very
popular over the years. They provide the feeling of living in the great
outdoors. Unfortunately, along with the beauty can come harmful and
damaging UV rays that destroy your wood floors, fabrics and carpets.
Not to mention driving up your heating and air conditioning costs.
Window film can create a better value by insulating your windows,
blocking UV and reducing environment control problems. |

|
Glare
is one of the
most
common problems in homes and offices today. Intense light beams in and
washes out computer screens and TV's making them almost impossible to
use. Now, add the eye strain and headaches you receiving from trying to
view these items and the solution becomes apparent. |

|
Window film has glare
reduction properties that can
relieve the misery of eye strain. Depending on your lighting needs, we
can install a window film that will reduce the glare up to 87%. Now
that is a true relief!
Our images
to the left show an example of how much of a
change window film can make on how you view your surroundings. |

More and
more new homes are having large
windows at multiple levels installed. Adding beauty and uniqueness
comes with a price. High heat and energy gain, glare and damaging UV.
This particular
installation demonstrates V28
film and it's
natural
appearance. |

|
Many large
buildings
employ the
use of glass to enhance the appearance of the building and offer
natural light. What you end up with is multi levels of varying window
shades, screens and ugly rooms full of inventory. This detracts from
the building. Now add in the enourmous cost of heating and cooling such
a facility.
Window film can give back the buildings prestigious appearance and
perform environmental control all at the same time. |

The SunTrust
Plaza building in
Downtown
Roanoke.
This is an ongoing project for window film. As a tenant moves out and
walls are moved, window film needs to be replaced. Every year this
building has a few windows updated after the original work was done
back in 2000.
The use of R20 film has dramatically reduced the amount of energy
consumption that this building requires for heating and cooling. In the
winter months prior to the installation of the window film, the air
conditioning ran in order to cool the people sitting next to the
windows. Those in the core of the building froze. Now, balance has been
restored and the tenants are happy. |

|
This picture shows windows
with no film. Notice the difference in the appearance of the foliage
through
the windows compared to the finished view below.
|

|
Now
the project is complete.
Both windows have V28 film installed and the customer has a
beautiful
view out the back door into the yard. The interior is protected from UV
damage and excessive heat build up. |

This
particular
installation was
in the atrium portion of a 130,000 square foot building in North
Carolina. It was a joint project installed by four different window
film installation companies who came together to work on this beautiful
building.
A boom lift and single man telescopic lift were used to reach all the
glass within the atrium. Obstacles included carpeted flooring, two
floor levels and a small water and plant garden in the middle of the
room. Not to mention the intense heat in the upper story during winter
weather. |

This is an outside elelvator which transports people from one street

Anti
Graffiti film is for
the
areas where problems occur with vandalism such as public restrooms,
employee locker rooms and convenient stores. Application of a
transparent layer of polyester film reduces or eliminates damage to
existing glass and mirrors. This product also works great for covering
stainless steel panels and partitions for reducing cleaning efforts. |

|
Smash and
grab is a fast
way for
thieves to make off with the goods. The use of Security film prevents
or even stops this from happening. It may even keep them there long
enough for the police to arrive. |
